The Chaudière Hydro Redevelopment project will generate 29 MW of new renewable power. As this site is known as the cradle of Canadian history requiring the conservation of existing buildings, the project presented a variety of challenges, such as blasting sequences, noise levels and seismic monitoring.
Works executed: Cofferdam Design and Construction, Channel Excavation and Channel Wall Construction, Blasting and Rock Excavation, Concrete Demolition; Powerhouse Construction and Sequencing and Downstream Rock Plug Removal.
