De Beers Canada inc. (DBCI) awarded Northec for the closure activities of Victor Mine, which is its Ontario’s first diamond mine and the second in Canada. The Victor Mine is an open-pit mine with an 11 year life of mine and is one of 18 kimberlite pipes discovered on the property, 16 of which are diamondiferous.
In general, this project includes reclamation of all disturbed areas as well as general clean-up, salvage, and disposition of material stored in various lay-down yards, and the decommissioning, demolition, and disposition of all infrastructure as directed by DBCI.
